Competent Person Training & Certification
1. Hazard Awareness on Construction sites, particularly concentrating on Job Audits, Fall Protection, Ladders, Scaffolding, Trench/Excavation, and Electrical.
2. Specific training on issues within each of those categories which OSHA requires.
3. How to communicate safety with employees on your site.
4. Leadership skills.
This in-person, live training & certification will be held in Grimes at ABC of Iowa’s Training Center. Tom VanderLinden, ABC of Iowa’s Safety Director, will lead the 4-hour course.
